Hi Everyone,

Help me!!! Before I throw all my savings down the drain...am thinking of getting a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi. Does anyone own? And what makes it worth all the penny you spend...? Thanks.

This will make a good starter camera for you and will help you learn the basics of digital capture while providing good quality images. If you really get caught up in this, you can always upgrade later. Good luck, study hard, and make a gazillion images - that's how you learn.

I got one a few months ago and love it. I am learning fast and with relative ease on this camera. In my opinion an excellent camera. Good Luck and have fun.

Does anyone know what the ERR99 means on the Canon Rebel XT? When it comes up, I lose the shot and have to reboot. Then it works for awhile again.

Hi Bonnie,

I'm not good at the technical side of cameras, but came across this thread to hopefully answer your question:

In short, it seems it's potentially an issue with a connection with your lens.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

John

Don't know if you are still having problems or not but found this article regarding Err 99.

Sounds like your lens contacts are dirty. Read the following article for cleaning.
